Organic Cotton & Green Cotton Fabrics
Our cottons are made with only organic or ‘green’ cotton. Green cotton is not actually green in color (!). It is a 100% commercially-grown natural fiber, but not chlorine bleached, chemically treated, or dyed. Organic cotton is grown without the use of toxic chemical pesticides. Among the products we carry are organic cotton sheets, towels, upholstery fabrics, and bedding accessories.
Natural Fiber Area Rugs & Carpeting
Our natural fiber floor coverings are produced from fibers such as sisal, coir, seagrass, rush, abaca, hemp, raffia, cotton, wool, and jute. Some of these lesser- known materials have found their way into mainstream production in recent years, while others have been in use for centuries as flooring material. They are not only natural materials but are sustainable and affordable resources as well. As area rugs and mats, the natural plant fibers provide neutral tones, texture, and a practical simplicity for any floor. Our wool and cotton/jute blend area rugs and natural carpeting are manufactured without chemical treatments, and are produced with the most natural dye processes available. Wool Floor Tapestries From Turkey
Livingreen carries an exclusive line of hand-dyed wool floor tapestries hand-woven by women from Turkey. These bold and brightly patterned kilims are direct copies of motifs originating in the 15th century from Istanbul’s Topkapi Palace. These exclusive floor tapestries are double knotted for superior strength. The weaves are regular and consistent and only excellent-grade wool is used.
Light Fixtures
Custom-made and one-of-a-kind refurbished light fixtures can be found in all the Livingreen showrooms. From sconces and hanging pendants to desk and floorlamps made from recycled materials, these older fixtures have been given new life with a fun artistic eye. Many now use CFL and LED lightbulbs, making them energy efficient as well.
